So, dinner tonight was more homemade bruschetta.

And I followed up with
my mother's traditional handmade California Roll recipe.

1. Buy handmade California Rolls from a real maki chef.
2. Discard the packaging.
3. Lie. Lie blatantly to your family about how hard they were to make and how long they took. Proclaim that you have suffered and demand lavish praise for your noble sacrifice.

Seriously, haven't I told you I'm a LAZY cook?

Very little tastes better in life than homemade bruschetta made with in-season tomatoes. But homemade bruschetta is STILL one of the better things in life, even with tomatoes out-of-season!

The leftover tomato and basil got combined with some good mozzarella, a little olive oil, and a dash of salt to make a capri salad, tonight!

Seriously, since when is "good Italian food" so bloody easy? Why did nobody tell me this before?
