What's the collective noun for a group of creationists?

An "incompetence"?
An "infestation"?
A "luddism" (although that's being a bit mean to Luddites)

Why ya gotta diss Luddites like that? They disliked certain technologies that directly threatened their livelihoods. That's far more reasonable than being anti-knowledge.

Creationists, on the other hand, are railing against knowledge that A) isn't threatening their jobs, and B) they have benefitted from (you know, modern biology and all. If Luddites were railing against spinning wheels and primitive looms, then it would be comparable.

Considering the serious anti-knowledge bent of Creationists, I might call them a lovecraft of Creationists.

A "teaparty" of creationists, or a "dense" of creationists.

The common thread across the tea party is fiscal conservatism, not social or religious positions. A "teaparty" makes no sense in this context since it would exclude at least half of self-identified tea party members.

Initially that was the aim of the Tea Party. But it hasn't been in years - since before they hit the big time.
No, the only unifying concept of the Tea Party is racial hatred. They say 'socialist' when they really want to say 'nigger.' They are uneducated inbred hicks. No other explanation fits the evidence.

Uh, which "tea party" are you thinking of?

Because the ones who called themselves the Teabaggers before they knew what the term meant, the ones who are currently prominent in US politics? Are now and have always been primarily a *racist* and *antiintellectual* movement, with significant Christian Theocratic elements.

I'm thinking of the tea party as it actually exists, rather than as it is portrayed in some circles to fit a preconceived narrative.

The sad reality is that the Tea Party has been misappropriated and taken off the rails by extreme elements. Tea-baggers, the 9/12ers, these separatist groups that pretend that it's about policy are clearly white identity movements. They are clearly white power movements.
When they scream 'socialist' to Obama, they clearly have no idea what a Socialist is. What they mean is 'nigger'. When they say 'I want my country back' they mean 'I want my country the way it was in the 1950s, with no blacks in the government, and with a white president.'
Don't know what country you live in if you think otherwise.

An "oxymoron".

Because they actively deny a science from which they are benefiting, because the rank and file consistently vote against their best interests, and because they will probably misunderstand that word to mean something like 'more moron than moron' which suits me fine.

I suspect TV ads are more on their mind and they'll think of Billy Mays (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_mays) and OxyClean, thus an OxyMoron is someone who doesn't believe in the cleaning and whitening power of anything "as seen on TV", or other forms of mass brain-washing. Or perhaps a Klansman with a less-than sparkling clean white robe due to lack of belief in the power of the magic OxyKleen.

Because giving them their own collective noun would be paying attention to them, and why on earth would you want to pay attention to people you think are dangerously insane?
