(As in, the vegan sheet metal is different from normal sheet metal, for real. Well, not actually different METAL, but no animal products used in the production.)

In the same vein, the claim to glory touted by the bubble bath liquid I buy is that it is gluten free. 9_9

My dad worked at a chemical plant that was certified kosher, in much the same vein. (See also: kosher plastic bags.)

You can also get salt that is not only kosher, "hallal", organic and non-GMO, but also chemical-free! (http://www.amazon.com/Salt-Himalayan-Gourmet-Chemicals-Non-gmo/dp/B007PR93EU)
Strangely, it isn't homeopathic.

Based on the technicality of contains carbon I'd be willing to make the argument that this is organic steel. It would be a pretty weak argument considering that the carbon is trapped in the crystal structure rather than chemically bonded, but it is present.

I don't know why anyone would think gluten free is abnormal for steel. That is like advertising gluten free salt.

I suspect it's a sign intended to be funny, not providing any selling points other than "buy from us, we have a sense of humour".
