Mar. 10th, 2005 03:44 pm"Given that sports may very well foster pagan and humanistic attitudes, I urge parents to think deeply about this issue and about whether or not any members of their families should participate in organized sports programs. As a minimum, I hope you will agree with me that we should keep our daughters away from competitive sports and spend our time training them how to be Biblically feminine women, wives and mothers."

Date: 2005-03-11 12:22 am (UTC)Dammit, somebody pass me a shotgun. I won't use it on people. I'm kind and gentle. But the noise is appealing, and I kind of like the idea of engraving that paper on a few clay plates and then blowing it to smithereens.
I have a much clearer idea of being Biblically feminine, instilled in me at a very young age (somewhere around five, I think). It largely revolves around the conviction, gained while reading through The Children's Bible Stories (with Beautiful Colour Illustrations) that Jael is about the coolest character in there, and takes no shit from anyone.
