New proposed abortion law: No abortion without written permission of the father.

If you don't know who the father is, you have to submit a list, and get them all checked until you find the right one, and then get his written permission.

Rape or incest? You need written proof of such from the police, instead of the father.

Aside from the very idea of this makes me froth at the mouth... I like (for given values of "like") this particular quote:

"I didn't bring it up to draw attention to myself or to be controversial. In most cases, when a child is born the father has financial responsibility for that child, so he should have a say."

Um... that has nothing to do with it, unless you're also going to turn around and say that a father-to-be can also *force* a woman to have an abortion if he doesn't want the kid.
