Only if you also yank out some of your old comments where you dismiss entire swaths of humanity as irrelevant because you disagree with them.

First: Entire swathes of humanity *are*, objectively, irrational and anti-factual.

Second: Once again, you demonstrate in no uncertain terms that you don't understand what people are objecting to.

What I hate about the privilege argument is that it's basically a shortcut to dismissing someone else who disagrees with you or who just doesn't care as much as you do about something.

Hint: It's not dismissing you because you don't care as much. It's pointing out that you have the LUXURY of not caring, and asking that you please not tell other people that they shouldn't care because they don't need to.

To compare it to my "religion is stupid and religious people are stupid people stance", yours is the equivalent "there is no such thing as religious persecution. I'm a Southern Baptist in the Bible Belt and I never experience it, so it doesn't exist. If you think you experience it, it's because you need Jesus"

Nobody is saying your opinion isn't valid. We're saying it's ignorant, cruel, and fundamentally stupid, and were you not so consistently incapable of basic empathy you probably wouldn't still hold it.

Nobody gives a shit about "valid". We're saying "disgusting", in the exact same sense as if I'd posted a story about rape and you'd responded with "bitch deserved it. And, really, I'd hit that!"

I didn't. In fact, I agreed that if he did that to someone I cared about I'd lay him out for it. I don't begrudge people caring. I begrudge them demonizing me because I don't.
