Sorry the data supports the opposite conclusion. Fresh lemons imported from Mexico prevent traffic fatalities. I now need a million dollars to investigate the reasons for this correlation.
My first path of investigation will be that corona served with a lemon wedge doesn't get you drill enough to cause fatal accidents.
While that may be true, I believe you are thinking of vitamin D. Lemons are a good source of vitamin C, and vitamin C deficiency causes scurvy, not rickets.
This is brilliant. We only need to import roughly 3,000 more metric tons of lemons from Mexico to the USA to completely eliminate US highway fatalities - presumably because the roads are full of lemon-carrying trucks, and these guys either don't crash into each (brilliant drivers / controlled by sinister Mexican lemon-overlords), or if they do they don't die (possibly because their truck cabins are insulated by additional lemons, or, again, insidious lemon-derived mutant powers).
