Says judge, when issuing court order: "You don't have the right to refuse treatment! Enforced bed rest, medical care you have no say in, and no smoking, because until that baby is born you have no right to do anything that might potentially endanger it!"

On other news, this State now has legal precedent showing that women serve absolutely no purpose except as incubators, preferably for male children. As soon as you get pregnant, all your rights disappear. Future rulings requiring all women to be treated as "pre-pregnant" expected to follow shortly.

I found some more stuff my Dear Former Homeowner left behind. In it were three coins - the first was a Swiss Franc, the second two, I can't identify. The writing on them looks Arabic, but I can't read 'em. Enough of the characters (and the plants around the rims of the coins) are the same that I bet they're from the same country.

So I took pictures!

They're nice high-quality ones )

Same two coins, front and back images. How about it, Interweb? What country are those from, and how many cents are they roughly worth?

Edit: They're both Iranian! The bigger is 10 Rials, from 1940. The smaller is 5 Rials, from 1933. They're worth approximately 0.15% of one Canadian cent.

Neat!

Me: "How the hell would you film the money shot during the Immaculate Conception?"

Who is the oldest currently living rock star?

Define "Rock Star" as "someone primarily famous for their music", just to exclude guys like Christopher Lee, who got into making heavy metal in his 90s but everyone still knows as Dracula and Saruman.

Charlie Watts is 68 - can anyone find someone to beat that?

EDIT: [livejournal.com profile] senorcameltoe brings Ringo at 69, [livejournal.com profile] nosrialleon has Ginger Baker at 70, and [livejournal.com profile] coyotegoth comes home having bagged Chuck Berry, 83.

BEAT THAT!

(And no, "Jack Daniels" is not a rock star.)

EDIT2: [livejournal.com profile] grimnir_thegrey brings in BB King (84) and Pinetop Perkins (*96*). And while I'm not 100% willing to call Blues "Rock", I am entirely 100% unwilling to NOT include it.

So our current winners are Chuck Berry and Pinetop Perkins.

BEAT THAT!
